Walk Into School And Class For The First Time Since High...

I’m about to walk into school and go to class for the first time since high school. It’s been fifteen years and I never thought that I would make it back to school. I mean I had hope to go to school again just didn’t ever really think about it. When life hits hard, people just don’t have as much time to do the things they grew up thinking they would do. Stop and smell the roses, that kind of thing. Well that’s going to change about my life, I’m going to be the guy that went back to school. I dropped out of school when I was seventeen. At the time I wasn’t living with my parents and wasn’t in Tennessee where I grew up. It was new and exciting to me, living in a big city, working, and doing my own thing in Dallas, Texas. Five years go by and I had a good job and started to work a second job for the extra money. I started hanging out with college kids thinking to myself that this is what I need to be doing with my life, going back to school, getting a good job, and being able to say to my kids that I had my own success story. I set up an appointment to take the GED and thought this is going to go great. Thought I would have time to study and get a good score. Then I got tired of studying and juggling my time at home with the kids and wife. I went to take the test thinking that I remember most of what I learned in high school. I flew through the test and the teachers there were asking me if I was sure that I didn’t need more time.
